LoveBonito Danessa Blouse Cobalt (Review Showdown)

I bought this blouse as I needed a simple top for everyday wear. This top did not disappoint me, it is definitely an all-purpose blouse as I can wear it to work by pairing it with a pair of pencil skirt or pants and dress down by pairing it with shorts. I like the folded sleeves. The material of this blouse - thick crepe - feels rough to the tough. The blouse is non-sheer.

Size s fits me well. I am a UK 8.

Absolutely loving this top! Its not filmsy, and there's a matte zip at the back of it. Available in three colours, cobalt, black and hot pink. True hot pink it is! Material is great, crepe chiffon which is like my malory romper! Though not lined, its not sheer in my opinion. Versatile top that can be worn tucked in for a corporate, smart look and tucked out for a lazy day out. I like that the sleeves is folded up, length wise just nice too. Got it in XS since the ptp of 16 fits me. Though priced at $27, it's a bit steep for a basic top but for the quality, its worth it. Hoping that the colour won't run when I wash it.

Love Bonito Hillary Heels (Review Showdown)

(Original posting by shopaholic mama on her personal blog http://shoppingismymiddlename.wordpress.com)

Wine is absolutely gorgeous!!!! More liked burgundy; a classy color :) Was deciding between black & wine. The reason why I cart out wine is because of the outstanding color. Black is a bit blah for me :X
Its made of suede material so have to be careful not to step on puddles.
Am I the only one who is glad that the cap toes are patent material instead of metal? Metal cap toes are so stiff & painful to walk in :(
The height of the heels are not very high. More liked a kitten heels. A good news for people liked me who want to add inches to their heights without the need to struggle in suicide heels LOL

Topped up for reg mail, so I received it pretty quickly! Couldn't wait to try it on once I got it! Hehe, the wine colour is exactly the same as the Fanning Flats' and so is the muted gold cap. The only diff is that this is heeled! 3" to be exact, as said on the LB site.

The measurements were 0.25" bigger than the flats so I just decided to stick with the same size, 38. Usually people would size up for heels right? But these are already longer/bigger, so the same size would do! Actually I think it's a little too big for me? But not too big that my foot would come out when walking. (Honestly, I don't know. I have to actually wear them out.)

No problem even if it is a little too big. One can always head down to Watsons/Guardian and look for a heel grip, to put inside the shoe at the back. That would make the shoe fit better!

Hehe, red & gold. Really gorgeous. I have a friend who says this reminds him of the Thai dancers' nails, yknow those long gold ones they put on when they perform? AH HECK, I love my gold capped heels.

Please don't ask me how comfy they are! Seeing as how they're heeled, and pointed in front. I don't think any person with normal nerve functions would be able to walk the entire day in them. Or half a day, for that matter. (At least I can't. If you can, good for you!)

LoveBonito - Sigur Tweed Skirt (Review Showdown)

(Original posting by on her personal blog http://fiorellarain.blogspot.sg)

Super love for this skirt.
I would definitely choose this over the Miranda Peplum Skirt because this skirt is what I've been looking for!
1. Length - I love the length, I find the length for Miranda peplum skirt slightly too long. However Miranda is great for work. The Sigur skirt might not be suitable for work though as it's on the shorter side, most probably more suitable for dress down Friday(s) and play-days. But a peplum skirt looks more chic when it's shorter! (personal opinion)
2. Fit - True to size, fits great. It is a little stretchy.
3. Comes with back zip, no lining. But I don't find it sheer. Unless under strong light.
I like how LB hides the sight of unsightly elastic band at waist.

I like the LB Sigur Tweed Skirt (XS) much more than the Miranda Skirt just because it is thicker and has a non-pleated peplum skirting. It is definitely more figure flattering for slim silhouettes and provides more shape. Colour-wise, I'm not sold on the Purple. To me it seems more of a dark grey and has blue undertones, rendering it a more of a cool than warm colour. If I had known earlier, I'd have opted for the Green piece instead. Similar to all other LB tweed items, this one also has multi-colour thread sewn all over.

Usually took Size XS for LB clothes, but this time I chose to get size S because of the measurements given on the website. The sizing of the skirt is slightly smaller than the Miranda skirt, so it's wise to size it up for added comfort to the tummy. Fits the same as my miranda skirt in XS. Besides, the material is quite stretchy but doubt it'll expand much. Doesn't come with inner lining so light can possibly penetrate through your skirt haha.. but don't worry I doubt it will show much. Don't know why it's not sold out yet. I think it's quite a great piece to own, be it dress down or up.

Lovebonito Greige Throwover Black

I was looking for an outer wear for the cool weather when I saw LB's preview of this throwover and I knew I had to get one. This throwover is made of crepe chiffon which feels rough to the tough. I do not like the pads at the shoulders and so I removed them. (The photos show the throwover with the pads). The throwover is easy to match and goes well with outfits for the weekdays and weekends.

Lovebonito Chelsea Top (Review Showdown)

Sorry for the crumpledness of the top as I took it straight from the package. I bought this top because I like the slight plunge back design. The design at the shoulders is quite nice too.

If you have been reading my posts, you should know that I will remove shoulder pads from tops, as far as possible, because I think I have broad shoulders. However, the design of this top does not allow me to remove the shoulder pads. Nonetheless, I think that this is a nice top which goes well with any bottoms and the colour of the top brightens my wardrobe.

This top does not have any zip and thus it is a a bit hard to wear it. Size s fits me well. I am a UK 8.

Due to lighting effects, my photos do not reflect the true colour (malachite) of the top. Please refer to Lovebonito's website for the true colours.

Okay, so this is where I got a little greedy and ordered the same top in 2 colours. Because I just had to. I got it according to my usual measurements PTP 16" but what I did not notice was that Zianna was wearing size S. I usually take the same size as her or one size up if its fitting. FML. What was I thinking getting XS? No idea, no idea at all. I swear I thought I was going to tear the top when I was trying it on. It is weirdly tight around the chest and the hips area. I noticed that it was mainly because of the inner lining.

Am considering to trade for size S or doing something about the inner lining :/ So if you are considering joining the B/O, you might want to size up. (Sorry for the late notice!!) Other than that, its an amazing basic top with slight paddings at the shoulders (loveee this!) and an unique back. Worth buying! ;)

I'm an UK6/8, 160cm for reference.

Love Bonito Payton Peplum Top (Review Showdown)

(Original posting by Vera on her personal blog http://fiorellarain.blogspot.sg)

Highly anticipated this top.
The quality is good. Comes with anti-slip and a back zip.
There is no elastic band.
Note that there is no padding and boning for this top.
The cut is very feminine.
As pretty as it seems, I find it low cut.
Size S fits comfortably, I wonder if Size XS would be a better fit or snug.
For this top, the bust part may feel a little empty for ladies A-B cup.
If only I got bigger boobs then this top would be perfect or if only this top has smaller PTP roar!

Was really tempted to get this when I saw Velda’s preview picture on instagram. Since i had the TDC Basic Peplum Top in Black, i decided to get this in the other basic colour – White. Made of really thick polyester material. I was quite surprised by the quality of the material used – this might be why the top is priced so high. The top comes with anti slip all around. Definitely a plus point for me.

M is a little loose for me at the ptp and also loose at the waist. I’d much prefer it a little more hugging as this is a tube. Will probably wear it with a belt to enhance the waist. Comes with a back zip and also a hook fastener at the top – i’m not really a fan of back zips because I can’t zip them up myself unless i pull it to the front, zip it, and push it to the back again! The peplum flares out alright. it’s a little on the long side.

Overall, still a pretty piece to own and can be quite classy depending on how you pair it. At $29.50, I still find it a little on the expensive side though.

It's non sheer as the material used was thick.
The flare of the peplum was slightly structured due to the material, but it wasn't overwhelming.
Definitely, there's a slimming effect from the peplum.

However, I felt it was slightly low cut and a little over priced.
But still a worthy buy as the cut and material used was great!

True to size, I'm a UK6/8 and it came with anti-slip at the front and the back.
Hope that helps for those that are looking the reviews of the Payton Peplum Tube :)
It's still available in all sizes except for Black and Crimson in M and White in S and M.

I do kinda agree that LB's prices are climbing. You gals have the same sentiment???

Lovebonito Seltzer Skirt Black

Initially, I wanted to get the colour burgundy as it is more unique but I was too slow and therefore I chose black. I did not regret getting the black one as it is really lovely. The material is smooth. I have to be careful when wearing/washing the skirt as any scratches on the skirt may cause a tear. This skirt is not really tummy friendly. I am a UK 8 and size s fits me well.

For reference: I am 1.63m.

The Closet Lover Floral Bustier

(Original posting by Maxine on her personal blog http://presentsfromthemailbox.blogspot.sg)

Used up my last Groupon voucher on these! I was really lemming after the floral prints on these 2, not really the "bustier" per se. I realised I am quite obsessed with this exact print. I even contemplated getting TVD's Garden Of Eden Floral Blazer in the blue floral print, but then I thought... "mm, better not". (Haha! That was from Pitch Perfect, a line by Fat Amy!)

These prints are on my peplum top from MGP, floral wedges from Aldo and also my F21 maryjane flats! They are the prettiest floral print in my wardrobe till date. Says a lot!

The bustiers aren't exactly serving their function, of busting me up. Size M for both! Hahaha well, the PTP has allowance and basically, the waist has more allowance. It will be yet another throw-on-whenever-i-want-to-feel-pretty-and-dressed-up-but-i-am-too-lazy top. Effortless. The front zip design on these is a first for me, cause I don't really think zips belong in front, but yeah it does make life a little easier! I guess the cutting is made to be kinda slimming!

No idea why this wasn't OOS (not sure now) when I checked back even a few days after the launch. So many girls were asking on FS and it's still not sold out. Strange.

OTD - Megagamie Vivi Parachute Gold Tip Dress Black

This dress has a pretty mouthful name. I bought this dress as I love the studs and the gold collar tips. This dress is made of chiffon which is quite rough to the touch. This dress is a bit too big for me. The armholes are too big and thus I have to wear a tube. I have to be mindful of the studs. If you look carefully at the photo, you can see that one of the studs had fallen off.

For reference I am a UK 6, 1.58m.

Love Bonito Helix Peplum Dress (Review Showdown)

(Original posting by Shopaholic Mama on her personal blog http://shoppingismymiddlename.wordpress.com)

Finally received this dress! My first peplum dress :D Super love the rich color! Suits my newly tan complexion :P

It wasnt that figure hugging, thank goodness for that. Due to the peplum design, it hides my bulging tummy. Im quite surprised that it doesnt really emphasize my heavy bottom. I like how the peplum flares out nicely. Size M fits me comfortably :)
Especially love the “M” shape neckline. Super flattering. Material is pretty thick & stretchy but I hate the inner lining. Its too short & flimsy! Im pretty sure the inner lining will tear once I throw it into the washing machine >.< Feel liked cutting it away :X
Although this dress comes with a back zip, I have no problem zipping up by myself as the zip is super smooth. Comes with a hook for further secure. It also comes with anti-slip. The length of the dress is not too short on me, another plus point :)
With or without belt looks fine to me :D

(Original posting by StarryCloset on her personal blog http://starrycloset.wordpress.com)

Been looking for a peplum dress for really long. Once I saw the preview, I was almost certain i was going to get it! Couldn’t quite decide on the colour again. Black – boring me again! Blue – I have quite a lot of it. Fuchsia caught my eye during the launch, and my friend advised me not to get white. So, it was Cobalt in the end since I didn’t want black.

When I took it out of the bag, I was already super happy. Love the rich cobalt colour and the stretchy material. Put it on and fell in love with it. Due to the material and cutting, it really hugs the curves and shows off the waist. I have big hips and thighs, so I do feel that it hugs a bit too close for comfort at the bottom for me – but nothing major. M fits me just nice, with little allowance. The heart shape neckline is really sweet and the peplum hides the tummy! Comes with anti-slip. There’s also a thick inner lining. LB didn’t use the “invisible zips” for the zip this time – the problem with invisible zips is that it is really hard to zip the the joint sometimes! A normal, similar coloured zip for this dress. Zipping was super smooth though! But, this being a back zip (argh! I really don’t like back zips!), I couldn’t zip it up myself. Had to get some help.

The dress might ride up while walking, and it’s a little on the short side, so, some girls might feel uncomfy about it. I’m a shortie, so i find the length ok, but i probably need to be cautious about the dress riding up.

Overall, definitely a dress that’s worth buying! Pretty satisfied with it.

I adore the material used for this dress as it is really stretchable. Am also really glad that they didn't use a hidden zip at the back if not I would have hurt my back while trying to zip past the joint. Somehow my dress didn't 'part weirdly' and definitely looks better after I ironed the piece. A great buy and a lovely colour to own!

Lovebonito Laurence tweed top black

I was a bit apprehensive when I opened the package for this top as the top looks smaller than the usual LB size s. True enough, this top is a bit small for me. Will be looking for size m for this top as I am a sucker for peplum tops. Selling the top at $28 mailed. Pls email me at imxtine@yahoo.com.sg if you are interested. [SOLD]
