SMooch Elliot Peplum Top (Electric Blue) vs WheresCinderella Marise Peplum Top (Review Showdown)

(Original posting by Veronica on her personal blog http://veronicaeng.blogspot.sg)

when i first saw the top, i was really depressed. the top looked so small.
how on earth am i gg to fit it in. LOL.

the first thing in my mind is, can i email SMooch to exchange sizes. HAHAHAH.

but in the end, i am glad that it fits me.
i am not sure if anyone knows. when i first saw the preview on SMooch website, it highly resembles the CWC iris peplum top i have.

and when i received it, i realised, its exactly the same. LOL. from the cutting, design and material used.
just that my cwc top is not as fitting as the SMooch piece, cause they are both in different sizes.
CWC version is self manufactured. whereas SMooch is not.

CWC Iris Peplum top in Crimson, Size M.  ------  >  i am letting this go. let me know if anyone is interested.

definitely prefer the most fitting SMooch pc! HAHA.

Sizing: as mentioned, this top is more fitting than my previous crimson pc. so hooray to a more flattering top to own! everyone should buy this peplum top! else you can buy from me if you want a huat red colour for upcoming CNY. HAHAHA.

I think this is the same peplum top that Smooch launched. I missed the launch :( So happy I found the exact same piece and at a cheaper price too. Yay! :) I love everything about the top. The flattering cut, the material and I love how it emphasizes my shoulders well. And, it hides my tummy! :) The material is thick and stretchy cotton. I adore the colour to bits as well! Its quite worth the price! :) This top is a must hunt down if you don't have a peplum top yet! :)

SMooch Day and Night Dress in White (Review Showdown)

(Original posting by squashycupcake on http://bestofshopping.livejournal.com)

I love the design but I think this cutting is not suitable for me. It is too shapeless and make me look shapeless...  I dont know if size S might fit better since it look rather fitting on the model.
I am be selling this away or trading for size S. do let me know if you are keen to trade or buy.

love the crochet used and how simple it looks yet it exudes class! Reminds me of LB Walsh covet dress but I prefer the smooch version, maybe cos its fits comfortably. Slightly sheer thus nude undegarments are definitely recommended!

This is definitely an impulsive purchase cos i wasn't intending to get it at all. I have LB dress version of the Walsh Top in white and SMooch dress in white is pretty similar. Nevertheless, i love the fit of the dress as well as the pretty crochet details. White is nicer to show the crochet details but black is definitely more slimmer. Will likely keep both.

Smooch Britannia Dress (Review Showdown)

(Original posting by Zenithangel on her blog http://zenithangel.wordpress.com)

The colour look very sweet don’t you think? The thick lining used was love and the lace at the back helps to cover up VPL. Wasn’t wearing seamless while trying and it doesn’t show due to the lace panel at the back. The lace panels was tightly sewn onto this chiffon dress. No problems with the back zip and it was quite easy to zip myself up. Had problem with the plastic beads though. It wasn’t sewn on tightly and it could be moved around. One or two of the beads even fell out while I was changing out of the dress which is disappointing as I expected better quality for the amount paid. It might just be my piece since I usually hear raves about Smooch’s clothes.

Did email Smooch about my loose beads since I saw reviews with people raving of how tightly sewn the beads was. Smooch allowed me to do an exchange. What I like about their customer service is that they mailed out the exchange piece with a self-addressed envelope without waiting for me to return my defect piece. Kudos to the great CS that seem to be disappearing from most BS.

Smooch Britannia Dress in White, M
This dress is SO pretty and well-made! I especially love the lace and beads embellishments on the dress. The bodice of the dress fits like a glove. But but but once again, my broad shoulders are too big for it and I feel terribly restricted in it. I'd want to keep this dress and alter it, but do you girls have any suggestions on how I can enlarge the shoulder portion?

Anyway this is my observation on Smooch's clothing. Believe me, I LOVE Smooch and I've been purchasing from them since the ATBU days. Their clothes are always chic and unique and the workmanship is always commendable. Sarah the owner provides excellent customer service too! I feel, however, that Smooch's apparels with high necklines often do not fit me because their arm holes/ should widths are too small and restrictive for my broad shoulders and back. This is so even when the rest of the apparel fits very well. So ladies with broad shoulders, do take note of this when purchasing clothes that may be restrictive! For girls like us, that one extra inch of shoulder/ arm space can make a world of difference. ;)

I am UK8, 1.68m.

Smooch's Britannia Dress in Peach ; finally gave in and bought this in size M even though I was skeptical about its fit and length for me. I was pleasantly surprised by the actual piece and its length on me, not too short! It's a bit tiny loose for me at the waist however, I'll probably be bringing it to a seamtress to get it altered soon, when I have the time.

Smooch's Bustier Dress in Vintage Rose

(Original posting by: jellyene  161CM / UK10 on http://bestofshopping.livejournal.com)

Sizes fit true to measurements, and slightly stretchable. I chose the pale vintage roses prints cause I have way too many vibrant ones and faded florals have more of the Fall Autumn feel lol. But really, this is a piece I didn't regret getting, its perfect for dates or weekend gatherings!
Material wise is denim cotton, like those HW shorts all around, and lined at the bottom half of the dress!
Slight frowns for the bust part though, I feel insecure cause there aint any anti slips bands so you gotta watch out!
BOs are on now I think so priced at $30ish I reckon this is a good deal!
Nono, it doesn't make people look fat tho its structured!

Smooch Edith Embellished Dress in Aqua

(Original posting by: cammomiley  on http://bestofshopping.livejournal.com)

Again was a little late in cartingout and took Aqua coz it was one of the remaining colours available. I think it's a blessing in disguise because the dress is lovely in real life :) Including the embroidery work. I could use this to very formal dinner events I have to attend in future.
Cut is romantic. comes with lining and workmanship is superb. Well done Smooch! Only disadvantage to this design is that it works al taller girls as the flare will make you look stumpy if it's too long.I prefer it without the sash!

Smooch Floral Denim Bustier Dress in Ashley Print XS

(Original posting by: cammomiley  on http://bestofshopping.livejournal.com)

I was too late to cart out S and took an XS instead. It's too small for me as expected :( any one want to trade for an S?
Prints are lovely but i wonder if they will wash off with wear.
generally a good bustier dress but compared with BC's old bustier dress, I don't think it's worth all the $31 I paid. But coz of the lovely prints, it's quite a looker.
